Forest Stewardship Council® Chain of Custody Certification for Small Businesses
As an organisation it can be reassuring to your clients that you take your responsibilities seriously, including those in regards to your environmental impact and sourcing of products.
The FSC® Chain of Custody ensures that wood, paper and non-timber forest products, and those that use and handle them, meet extremely stringent standards.
The FSC scheme verifies that the certified products can be traced back to well-managed forests in accordance with the rules of The Forest Stewardship Council. Every party, from the grower to the processor to the manufacturer to the end user is tracked and audited to ensure that they have complied with the ethical and well managed forest practices laid down by the FSC.
However, this can be costly.
Our partner Chartwell PM has developed an FSC® Group Scheme specifically designed to help smaller businesses achieve FSC Certification at a reduced cost, complete with a listing on the official FSC global database, in as little as 8 weeks.
If your organisation has less than 15 full time employees, or has less than 25 full time employees and a turnover of less than £700,000 PA, you could qualify for our FSC Group Scheme.
Our qualified and experienced consultants will help you:
- Understand the supply chain and Chain of Custody requirements
- Create the required documents and processes
- Amend existing processes, documents and policies
- Prepare and delivery awareness training
You will also receive advice on the ongoing benefits of FSC® Certification, a pre-assessment audit, support at the Certification Audit and support for responsible sourcing.
